Trust me, I’ve been there.
For nearly a decade, I analyzed myself to bits in talk therapy. But I was stuck in the same pattern — chronically burnt out “saving the world.” I was self-righteous, exhausted, and resentful about it, a real martyr. I wasn’t showing up fully as a friend, family member, or romantic partner, which added to the negative self-judgment.
Then I found somatics — and it all started to shift. Within just a year of rigorous embodiment work, I had left an over-demanding workplace, and I was asking for what I needed in important relationships. I was more playful, mindful, and self-loving. My oldest friends say “they feel like they have their old friend back.”
